Basic Apologetics

Dedicated to the idea that the objective evidence demonstrates there really was a bloody cross and an empty tomb.

The

Basic Apologetics

Video Series

Below are links to a series of 15 videos (target age 17 and up) that are intended to make the case for the core beliefs of the Christian faith. Each video is ‘roughly’ 30 minutes long and is intended to be useful for classroom, for group discussion or for individual study, and should be of interest for believers or skeptics. Note: if you find arguments you disagree with, just use those as discussion items and explain why your position is better. Only you can decide whether you think that impacts the overall case or not.

Most of the material comes from many of the heroes of Christian Apologetics. To the following, my deepest thank you for all you have done for paving the way for me and the many others that are following after you…Josh McDowell, Greg Koukl, Frank Turek and the late, great Norm Geisler, Hugh Ross, Gary Habermas, Ravi Zacharias, Tom Woodward, William Lane Craig, JP Moreland, Paul Copan, John Sanford, Lee Strobel, Paul Little, Mike Behe, Stephen Meyer, Jonathon Wells, and all the people at The Discovery Institute, at Illustra Media, and at SES. We all, of course, owe a great debt to the incomparable Clive Staples Lewis. My apologies to the many others I have failed to list here.

Any wonderful material is completely to the credit of these trailblazers, all poorly rendered material is solely my responsibility.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

LIFE:

The eternal Son of God left heaven to be born in a barn and live with us. His life of moral perfection qualified him to be the sacrifice necessary for our moral failures.

DEATH:

Because of his matchless love for us he willingly made that sacrifice on the cross as the payment for our moral failures so that we, the guilty, may be found not guilty.

RESURRECTION:

The empty tomb means our earthly life is a prelude to an eternal one. He stands at our door and knocks, desperately hoping we accept him as Lord and Savior so we have forgiveness and our eternal life will be spent with him.

“I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. – Jesus

“I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die”. – Jesus

God loved you so much, that he gave his only Son, so that if you believe in him you will not die, but have eternal life“. – Jesus
